from graded recycled shredded rubber

Structure Borne Impact and Radiated Noise Isolation

Floating Floors – ImpactaMat SHEET. As an impact absorbing layer between a structural concrete floor slab and final hard floor finishes – such as floating concrete slabs, direct bond or loose-lay prefinished timber flooring, direct bond tiles or similar hard surfacing.

Floating Floors – ImpactaMat PADS. As an impact absorbing layer between a structural concrete floor slab and final hard floor finishes including fabricated rafts of:

  • Strip timber or parquetry on double layer 12mmstructural ply (Sports Floors).
  • Strip timber or parquetry on single layer tongue andgrooved particle board with light ply overlay.
  • Ceramic tile or similar surfaces on double layerfibrous cement sheet.
  • Strip tongue and grooved flooring or structural particleboard on battens.

Walls – ImpactaMat STRIP. As an acoustical break for structure-borne noise radiating from building elements:

  • Underneath steel or timber frame plasterboard walls, particularly where wall impact isolation treatment is incorporated.
  • Underneath precast panel walls.
  • At the soffit of overhead structural slabs for the above walls where structurally appropriate.

Stairs – ImpactaMat STRIP or PADS. As an impact absorbing layer between stair treads and hard tread surface materials or as a break for structure borne noise in the supporting stair strings.

Resilient Flooring – ImpactaMat TILES.
In a modified, high density configuration (POLYMAT), ImpactaMat tiles can be used as a standalone floor finish providing flexibility underfoot for general activity areas and workstations. Colour flecks introduced to order.

Preformed sheet, strip or pads used as a noise and vibration barrier to be manufactured from recycled rubber securely bound with a waterproof flexible binder. The material shall have an approved stress/strain characteristic and be supplied in a thickness to suit the application. It shall be ImpactaMat as supplied by G. P. Embelton & Co. Pty. Ltd.
